Dr Jennifer Jones-Travers has 20 years of experience in archaeology and heritage management and brings a well-rounded approach, having worked across several states in Australia and internationally. Jennifer holds a PhD with a specialisation in Australian archaeology.
Jennifer has led projects at sites of state, national and world heritage significance. She has a firm grounding in heritage legislation at a local and state level in TAS, NSW and VIC, as well as Commonwealth legislation. She can hold Excavation Permits, Approvals and Consents in NSW, VIC and TAS for sites of local and State significance. Her areas of expertise include historical archaeology, Aboriginal heritage, artefact analysis and collections management.
Jennifer is currently serving as the Member with Expertise in Archaeology on the Tasmanian Heritage Council. She is Chair of the Archaeological Advisory Panel and member of both the Works Committee and Registration Committee.
